Kenya National Bureau of Statistics hereby releases Consumer Price Indices (CPI) and Rates of Inflation, for November 2020. The indices and inflation rates were generated from data collected through a survey of retail prices for a representative basket of household consumption goods and services. The survey was conducted during the second and third weeks of the month, with prices being obtained from appropriate retail outlets located in 50 data collection zones, 14 of which are in Nairobi and 36 in other urban areas.
The CPI increased by 1.07 per cent from 109.60 in October 2020 to 110.78 in November 2020. The overall year on year inflation in November 2020 stood at 5.33 per cent.
