The overall year on year inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 6.45 per cent, in October 2021. This was mainly driven by increase in prices of commodities under: food and non-alcoholic beverages (10.60 per cent); transport (8.15 per cent); and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (5.80 per cent) between October 2020 and October 2021, as presented in Tables 1 and 2.
