Overview
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics hereby releases the Consumer Price Indices (CPI) and inflation rates for to the month of March 2011. These numbers have been generated using data collected from selected retail outlets in 25 data collection zones located in 13 urban centers. The retail prices’ data was collected during the second and third weeks of the month under review. As reflected the CPI increased by 2.28 percent from 112.05 in February 2011 to 114.62 in March 2011. The overall inflation rate stood at 9.19 percent in March 2011.
